51 Dogs And Cats In ‘Miserable Conditions’ At Home Of Rescuer Were From County Animal Shelter

Florida – Animals that had supposedly been ‘saved’ from the Hillsborough County Animal Shelter were found in miserable conditions behind a St. Petersburg, Florida, home purportedly serving as a wildlife rescue facility, according to BayNews9.

Officials who removed the 51 animals said they were living in filthy crates in their own urine and feces and without food or water.

Most of the animals had microchips which verified they came from Hillsborough County Animal Services and that their care was “outsourced to the wildlife rescue.”

There are no special permits, or licenses or regulatory agency that oversees the rescues, Doug Brightwell, spokesperson for the county’s animal services told BayNews9. More    More Strange News

Police: California woman concocted fake abduction with boyfriend

California – Police investigating the alleged kidnapping of a woman from a northern California home said — hours after she was “found” more than 400 miles away — that it was a hoax “orchestrated” with the woman’s boyfriend.

Authorities had originally treated the disappearance of 29-year-old Denise Huskins as a kidnap-for-ransom case, but said they had been unable to locate her or any of her family members after Huskins retained an attorney and stopped cooperating with police.

Vallejo police spokesman Lt. Kenny Park said that Huskins and her boyfriend, Aaron Quinn, 30, have now become the targets of an investigation into whether they did anything illegal in reporting a random, violent abduction and a ransom request of $8,500.

“There is no evidence to support the claims that this was a stranger abduction or an abduction at all,” Park said in a statement. “Given the facts that have been presented thus far, this event appears to be an orchestrated event and not a kidnapping.” More  More Strange News

Cornell dean says ISIS welcome on campus in undercover video

This guy is either the dumbest Ivy League bigwig ever or politically correct to a fault — for welcoming offers to bring ISIS and Hamas to Cornell University.

A video sting operation shows Cornell’s assistant dean for students, Joseph Scaffido, agreeing to everything suggested by an undercover muckraker posing as a Moroccan student.

Scaffido casually endorses inviting an ISIS “freedom fighter’’ to conduct a “training camp” for students at the upstate Ithaca campus — bizarrely likening the activity to a sports camp.

Is it OK to bring a humanitarian pro-“Islamic State Iraq and Syria” group on campus, the undercover for conservative activist James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas asks. More   More Strange News

Florida – Two Florida women outsmarted an alleged stalker by bringing him straight to a police station after a prolonged pursuit.

Jason Joseph Seeburger, 37, alleged pulled his car up to a 24-year-old woman and stared at her as she stood outside her house in Plantation.

He parked his car and kept an eye on the woman for five minutes until a friend picked her up, the Sun Sentinel reported.

When the women drove away, Seeburger made a U-turn and followed them, according to an arrest report.

The woman tried tricking Seeburger, making arbitrary turns to see if he kept his creepy pursuit. More    More Strange News

Televangelist backs off of campaign to get $65 million in donations for new jet

After drawing fire for a campaign to raise $65 million dollars to purchase a private airplane, televangelist Creflo Dollar announced he was dropping the idea.

At least until a more affordable alternative shows up.

According to a story from The Christian Post, a video was posted on one of his ministries websites looking for “200,000 people committed to sow $300 or more [to] help achieve our goal to purchase the G650 airplane.”

The plane, a luxury Gulfstream G650, is called the “fastest plane ever built in civilian aviation.”

“If all of our existing partners were to sow $300 each, from all over the world, we’d be able to acquire this jet in a very, very short period of time,” Dollar associate Rick Hayes says in the video. More
