Window washer’s frantic farewell to his wife

New York – A terrified window washer left dangling on a broken scaffold 68 stories above Ground Zero on Wednesday called his wife on his cellphone and begged her, “Take care of my children.”
“I don’t know what’s going to happen,” Juan Lizama told his wife, Hilda, as he and a co-worker hung along the gleaming blue glass of 1 World Trade Center, the “Freedom Tower.”
“The machine is broken,” Lizama said of one of the scaffold’s two hoist motors, according to his wife, who recounted the nightmare for The Post.
“We’re trying to see what we can do,” Lizama told her. “We’re real high. I don’t know if or how it’s going to turn out.”  More   Watch video at Nutty News Videos
