Araceli Meza, 49, was charged Monday with injury to a child causing serious bodily injury by omission and ordered held on $100,000 bond, Balch Springs police said.
“They didn’t give the child any food for about 25 days,” Balch Springs Lt. Mark Maret told NBC Dallas.
“They just gave him some water, which ultimately caused the child to die.”
The infant’s Mexican parents took the boy to Meza because they believed he had a “demon” inside, police said. More More Strange News Stories
