A woman walked into Helen Jesse’s house with two children Wednesday night, gave her a hug and sat down in the living room. The problem is, Jesse said she had no idea who the woman was. She told police the woman grabbed her purse while the two children ran around Jesse’s home in the 2400 block of Logan Avenue, looking for the bathroom and asking for something to drink. “It’s very, very weird and very, very scary,” said Jesse, 93. “She just forced herself in.”The woman took Jesse’s purse that had about $100 in it, along with her driver’s license and Social Security card, according to a police report. The woman then walked to the bathroom while the two children ran to the living room, according to the report. Jesse then found that the door to her bedroom had been opened and several items inside had been moved. Jesse, who owns several properties in the area, said the woman is not one of her tenants. “I know it could happen to someone else,” she said. Neighbors reported seeing a woman with blond hair walking with two children behind houses in the neighborhood, according to a police report.
