Man admits to stealing own urine

VALPARAISO IN - A Valparaiso, Ind., man has been arrested and charged with burglary after he admitted stealing his own urine sample from an official county building. Joseph Klinkman told police he broke into the Porter County PACT office, which operates community-based corrections programs for offenders and others, and stole his own urine sample and that of a friend because he feared they might test positive for drug use, the Gary (Ind.) Post-Tribune reported Friday. Police said Klinkman, who is currently on probation for a drug-related offense, entered the office by removing a window air conditioner. Chief Probation Officer Neal Hannon said it was the first urine theft he'd heard of in Porter County. "I've been here 37 years," Hannon said. "Generally, people don't have a desire to retrieve their own urine." Atlas Pen & Pencil Corporation
