DALLAS TX - A Dallas man who allegedly led police on a high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle was reportedly found to have 29 frozen cats and dogs in a freezer. Ronald Teague, 61, was charged with evading arrest and detention with a motor vehicle and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on Monday, the McKinney (Texas) Courier Gazette reported. He told police he was trying to get a cat to a veterinarian but Chief Deputy Craig McKnight, a spokesman for the Dallas County Constable's Office said the cat in the vehicle had likely been dead for at least two days. "It was stiff," McKnight told the newspaper. Teague allegedly had a reputation among Dallas Animal Services and the SPCA as an animal hoarder and, when they learned of his arrest, they visited his home. They found 45 cats and kittens and 11 dogs and puppies living in their own waste. The living animals were confiscated. Authorities said the carcasses of 29 animals were allegedly found in a freezer, beside frozen food, and each had a note detailing date and time of death, the report said.
