300+ people to be prosecuted for putting their feet on seats of a British commuter train


LONDON - In a case of not putting one's best foot forward, more than 300 people could be be prosecuted for putting their feet on seats of a British commuter train. Company officials for the Mersyrail trains said they would pursue the prosecutions despite the court's dismissing the case of one passenger who put her flip-flopped tootsies on a seat, the Times of London reported. The company said in a statement it had support from passengers since it started its campaign against smoking, drinking and dirtying the seats in February.
