African refugees sent to Houston for their safety where they are attacked by Katrina evacuees


Houston, Texas - Houston thought they did the right thing and took in evacuees from New Orleans during Katrina. Many of the evacuees never left and Houston's crime rate has soared.
African refugees: When they came to America, some of them just a few weeks ago, they couldn’t wait to begin their quest for the American dream.
“We are refugees. We are from our country. We are suffering here,” Morisho Saleh saSaleh is a refugee from Africa.
