Man lied about ball-playing past for decades - Even his wife believed it


LAKELAND FL - A Lakeland, Fla., man who shared a name with former major league pitcher Bill Henry spent decades telling friends and family that he was the former player. Henry, a retired salesman, died of a heart attack last week and national news media reported that the Bill Henry who played for teams including the Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox had died. But then the real retired pitcher caught wind of the story and exposed a lie the dead man had spent decades living under.
