The average adult in Britain drinks 37 bottles of whisky a year


UK - Britain's demand for booze is growing, with the average adult getting through the equivalent of 37 bottles of whisky a year.
The UK is one of the few countries in the EU where alcohol consumption is rising, a study of the nation's health has found.
