LEAVITTSBURG, Ohio - A worker installing satellite TV service in Leavittsburg put down his tool belt and helped rescue a man who was trapped underwater by a lawn mower. Ron Hacker, 68, was pinned in the Mahoning River on Monday when his riding mower toppled down a 2-foot embankment. The mower's blade stopped automatically once he fell off, and Hacker was able to get his head above water. But he struggled to free himself. That's when a neighbor enlisted the aid of DirecTV installer Michael Oberlin, who was across the street on a service call.
