Prisoners escape when back doors of police van open


Australia - A convicted rapist and a thief with "long criminal histories" are on the run after bursting out of a prison van.
Police are investigating whether the doors were left unlocked or forced.
Three men escaped in Grieve Pde, Altona North, after kicking open the van's doors at 10.50am today. And while police quickly recaptured one of the men near Footscray cemetery, two remain on the loose.
