Canada - Quebec Ministry of Labour arbitration tribunal has upheld the Hull hospital's decision to exclude a 300-pound woman from working as an operating room nurse because she perspired excessively.
Sylvain Dubé, a spokesman for the Hull pavilion of the Centre hospitalier des Vallées de l'Outaouais, said yesterday the woman was fired in December 2005 for "professional reasons," but added he could not elaborate because of an agreement between the nurse and the hospital.
