Michigan - Cherita King, 40, of Port Huron was walking across Huron Avenue at Grand River Avenue when she was hit by Ruth Haacke, 80, of Port Huron, as she turned right onto Huron. Haacke, who at the scene said she was unaware she had hit someone, continued driving south on Huron Avenue to Quay Street. Witnesses said King had the right-of-way.
