OSCEOLA COUNTY, Florida - There was an unexpected display of humanity from a man who boasted about murdering his own neighbor. Todd Zommer was sentenced to die Friday afternoon for beating an elderly woman to death. Zommer filed 70 reasons with the court why he shouldn't be put to death. Some of the most bizarre were "oxygen deprivation at birth," "sucking his fingers as a child" and the fact that he was a good athlete.
