A two-hour lockdown at Alfred University was lifted Tuesday after police realized the potential gunman was actually a student carrying a toy NERF gun.
The student was playing a tag-like game called "Zombies vs. Humans," said school spokeswoman Sue Goetschius. NERF guns, used in the game to tag opponents, launch darts or balls made of foam.
