Portugal - British couple whose three children were taken into care after a binge drinking session in the Algarve, fled the country this afternoon ahead of a court appearance. Eamon McGuckin, 34, and his wife Antoinette were supposed to appear before a judge this afternoon but jetted out of Portugal instead, according to the Foreign Office. They are alleged to have drank lager at one euro (79p) a pint and then collapsed in front of their three youngsters.
