Call Of The Cicadas In Full Force On Long Island - Infestation occurs every 17 years


CORAM, New York - On Thursday night on Long Island, there was a sign and sound of the times. An insect infestation that occurs every 17 years is really bugging residents. They're called cicadas and as CBS 2 HD has learned, everything you've heard about them is true. "This is the chorus of the cicadas -- the 17 year locusts," Coram homeowner Karen Chalson said. "They are everywhere. You step on them they squash! ICK!" Chalson and her neighbors live in cicada country these days.
