
KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety has launched an inquiry into officers' use of a city fire truck to help fill a new swimming pool earlier this month at the home of City Commissioner Stephanie Moore. Fellow Commissioner Barbara Miller said Thursday that she asked for an investigation into whether the service provided to Moore may have violated any city policy or charter provision. Miller said she received complaints from constituents who believed other city residents have been denied similar service and must pay for the municipal water they pour into pools from garden hoses.
