Electrician charged in shower electrocution of his wife


Oshawa - A 60-year-old man is accused of attempting to electrocute his wife in their Oshawa home.
The woman claims that while taking a shower Sunday morning, she received several electrical shocks when adjusting the taps, according to Durham Regional Police. When she called her husband, an electrician, he allegedly told her it was a build up of static electricity.
The woman said she discovered a section of drywall missing and electrical wires attached to the plumbing in the bathroom on Monday around 11 a.m. When the female confronted her husband, she was physically assaulted and choked almost to unconsciousness, police allege.
