Major Crime Crackdown - Drivers who don't give the right of way to pedestrians will be issued warning citations


Chicago - Beginning next week, Chicago cops will take on a most dangerous undercover role, posing as pedestrians in the city's traffic-choked streets. In an effort to improve safety and promote walking with gas prices surging past $4 a gallon, police officers dressed as civilians will step into crosswalks at two busy Northwest Side intersections as cars approach. Drivers who don't give the right of way to these pedestrians will be issued warning citations. More...
