Transit worker stole $375,000 - By palming coins off a conveyor belt


Canada - A former Calgary Transit worker has admitted stealing more than $375,000 from the city over seven years by palming coins off a conveyor belt, stashing the money in his locker and packing it into a knapsack before he left work each day. Day after day, Hamilton would take coins from a conveyor belt or table, and steal from slush buckets where some coins and bills were temporarily stored. "He would then hide the stolen money in bags, take them to his locker, and ultimately remove them in his knapsack at the end of the day. More...
