New Jersey - When Sheila Berg believed that she was about to die from cancer, she wanted to find a loving home where her three cats would be well cared for after her death. Toward that end, Berg gave her longtime pets to Tabby's Place, A Cat Sanctuary Inc., on Oct. 1, 2007, along with a $30,000 donation for their care. But Berg's health has since improved and she asked the cat sanctuary to return Onyx, one of her cats. But the East Amwell sanctuary has refused to return Onyx to Berg even though she offered to pay the adoption fee and is not asking that her $30,000 donation be returned. More...
