Latest suspect in salmonella outbreak: Fresh salsa


USA - The search for the source of the nationwide salmonella outbreak tightened Wednesday to focus on fresh salsas made with tomatoes and other ingredients, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The agency has asked state and local health officials to focus their efforts on items commonly used in the production of fresh salsa, particularly that made in local restaurants, says CDC spokesman Glen Nowak.
