BOCA GRANDE - The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office to assist deputies in locating a subject that had run from them on foot. According to the report, the suspect began arguing with deputies and ignored their commands to get out of the water. Reports state that the man continued to walk through the water and swam out approximately 30 feet. Deputies say the man went under the water and resurfaced several times. One deputy even went into the water after the man in an attempt to locate and rescue him. More...
