Gunshot victim sues to get leg back


Nebraska - An Alliance, Nebraska man just wants to get a leg up on his recovery from gunshot wounds he suffered last weekend. But first, he has got to get his prosthetic leg back. The county attorney is withholding the leg, which was shot during a roadside incident Friday night, as evidence for a possible trial, according to the wife of Val McCabe, a 58-year-old railroad worker. Muffy Buckles, speaking by phone from her husband's hospital room, said Tuesday that the predicament is slowing her husband's recovery and his release from the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.
