A chunk of ice fell from the sky and crashed through a roof and the ceiling of a York Township home before hitting a woman who was asleep in bed this morning.
The ice was about 18 inches long and weighed 6 pounds, according to York Area Regional Police Sgt. Rod Varner. It hit the woman, Mary Ann Foster, in the forehead about 5:30 a.m.
