A Greenville man has become caught up in an Internet scam that had him cashing a counterfeit check and sending the money to Nigeria, police say. The 24-year-old man told police that he had been talking with a person via the Internet for about six months when the person asked him to cash some checks and then send the money, according to a Greenville police incident report released today.
