MANCHESTER - A man is being treated at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics today after his son tried to cut a pacemaker from his chest. Jesse L. Fierstine, 32, of rural Manchester, was arrested Saturday for attempted murder after he allegedly struck his father, Charles Fierstine, 63, in the head with a flashlight and a piece of firewood.
