NY - Nobody was injured when a Carnival Cruise Lines ship slammed into a pier overhang while docking in New York Thursday morning, Newsday said. Police said it all happened at about 7:35 a.m. as "Victory" was returning to Manhattan from a four-day cruise to Canada and New England. The incident closed down 12th Avenue near 56th Street and snarled traffic on the Henry Hudson Parkway during rush hour. Police had no other details and a spokesman for Carnival Cruise Lines did not return calls from Newsday on Thursday morning. Officials from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey also could not be reached for comment. MagazineLane.com - Radio Shack
