DANVILLE CA - The elaborate baseball diamond a California father built for his son must be torn down, local officials ruled Tuesday night. The Danville, Calif., Planning Commission voted 7-0 to deny permits David Lowe needed to keep his backyard "Field of Dreams," the San Francisco Chronicle reported. Lowe, who spent hundreds of thousands of dollars building the ballfield for his 11-year-old son, has 10 days to appeal the decision to the City Council.
