Dumb Bank Robber Award Winner: No withdrawal slip, no money


Flagstaff, Arizona - Friday's robbery at the Compass Bank inside Albertson's turned out to be a bust for the suspect, foiled by a teller who said she "played dumb. "According to reports released Saturday by the Flagstaff Police Department, the teller was the only employee at the bank counter when a man approached at 11:22 a.m. and demanded all her "50s, 20s and 100s. "The clerk asked the man to repeat himself, then gave him a withdrawal slip and asked for identification so she could look up his account. After the man said, "Do I need to pull my gun out?" She told him she couldn't give him money if he didn't have an account, reports stated. Disgusted, the man shook his head and walked away, the clerk said. That is when she called for help.
