Singaporeans smuggle cigarettes in coffins - Get to smoke in jail


Singapore - Three men who sold contraband cigarettes hidden in 33 coffins were sentenced to jail terms of between 18 and 24 months, news reports said Wednesday.
Ho Chui Poo, 37, Tan Hai Thiam, 55, and Cheong Teck Guan, 32, admitted in a Singapore court to dealing in 3,719 cartons of assorted cigarettes valued at S$334,791 (US$223,194), according to The Straits Times.
