Police Advise Against Putting Address On Luggage Tag - Tags Lead Thieves To Empty Homes


MIAMI - Oh, the joys of holiday travel -- fighting the crowds at the airport, packing everything except the list of restricted items and standing in long lines are all part of the hassles of flying. Now, there's one more thing to add to the list.
Don't put home addresses on luggage tags. That bit of advice might protect one's home from common thieves who, according to police, spot the tag, get an address and break into the home knowing that person is out of town.
