Truck driver runs over and kills woman over argument about school speed zone


ST. JOHNSBURY, Vermont - A Northeast Kingdom woman was killed today after an apparent road-rage incident involving a tractor-trailer. Vermont State Police said Laurie Bragdon, 45 of Guildhall, was run over by a tractor-trailer driven by Delbert Degree, 41 of St. Johnsbury. Police said that at about 1:45 p.m., Bragdon followed Degree from Lunenburg to St. Johnsbury -- about 20 miles. Police said Bragdon and her daughter, Sarah Bragdon, became upset with Degree for his operation of the tractor trailer as he drove through Lunenburg.
