Houston, Texas - An 11-year-old boy who claimed he was nearly abducted while walking to his north Houston elementary school later told police he made up the story in order to get attention from his mother, authorities said.
The DeChaumes Elementary student originally told school officials and police that he was walking to school in in the 100 block of Cooper on Monday morning when an unknown man grabbed him, threw him to the ground and ripped his shirt.
