PORTSMOUTH — A police officer was threatened by an elderly woman waving a metal tea kettle Wednesday night, while responding to the latest in a series of 911 hang-up calls from her home.
According to the city’s public police log, the woman’s most recent false emergency call came at 8:06 p.m. and when a dispatcher called back, the woman "picked up the phone, said something unintelligible, then hung up."
