Arizona - The woman accused of stabbing to death her 83-year-old Scottsdale neighbor was released from a psychiatric hold Sunday just a half-hour before the killing, Scottsdale police said Monday.
Police said they arrested 40-year-old Jill Manahan after finding evidence that led them to her apartment upstairs from the victim's in a complex in the 9400 block of East Becker Lane near Shea Boulevard. Officers forced entry into the residence where they found Manahan with blood on her after witnesses said they saw her climb into the window of her upstairs apartment, said officer Dave Pubins, a police spokesman.
