Suspect Dies In Police Custody After Ingesting Evidence


California - A 38-year-old man died while in custody Tuesday night after resisting arrest and ingesting an unknown amount of a controlled substance, San Jose police Officer Jermaine Thomas said this afternoon.
Prince Swayzer III was pulled over near North Third and Hensley streets around 6:30 p.m. on suspicion of narcotics trafficking, Thomas said. During the stop Swayzer allegedly became combative and struggled with the three officers. He is also believed to have ingested an unknown amount of a controlled substance. More...
