High School Coach Spends Uniform Money At Strip Club


BOSTON - A former high school football coach is accused of withdrawing money from an account intended for team uniforms to use at a strip club.
James Atkins, 43, of Revere, was indicted on 10 counts of larceny stemming from the alleged theft of about $10,000 from the Chelsea High School football team booster club, of which he was the president. A Suffolk County grand jury returned indictments charging Atkins with six counts of larceny over $250, three counts of larceny by scheme and one count of larceny by check for thefts between 2005 and 2007.
