Chicago couple posing as Kenyan refugees scammed $800,000 from nuns


Wisconsin - Federal agents allege a Chicago couple posing as Kenyan refugees whose lives were in danger scammed more than $800,000 from an order of Carmelite nuns in Wisconsin, the Chicago Tribune reported Thursday.
An FBI affidavit filed in Milwaukee also alleges that Angela Purity Martin-Mulu, 35, and Edward Bosire, 39, took almost $20,000 from a Carmelite monastery in Des Plaines, the newspaper reported.
