AUBURN, Maine - Police in Auburn said the adult who supplied liquor for a weekend party of underage drinkers bowed down in admiration when an 18-year-old man chugged a quart of vodka without stopping.
Adam Beggs passed out and died in the Granite Street apartment, where police found his body on a mattress early Saturday morning. While the official cause of death may not be known for weeks, police said they believe the Auburn man succumbed to alcohol poisoning.
