False Alarm: Empty cookie tin shuts down busy downtown intersection


Florida - A suspicious package that turned out to be an empty cookie tin shut down a busy downtown intersection for about 45 minutes this morning. Orlando police received a call about the package around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Orange Avenue and South Street. The Orlando Fire Department responded and shut down the eastbound lanes of South Street and Orange Avenue. Access to the Lincoln Plaza parking garage was shut down during the investigation, said Sgt.
