Oregon - The family of a Springfield girl whose leg was amputated after her father accidentally backed over her with a riding lawn mower is suing the mower company for more than $8.5 million.
The lawsuit, filed on behalf of 4-year-old Isabelle Norton, alleges that Deere & Company was negligent in designing the mower with a switch that allows the driver to keep the blades spinning while driving in reverse.
