Shriners Attack Crowd


TN - Chattanooga Police are investigating an accident that occurred during a Shriner's Parade in the downtown area. At 11:29 this morning, police responded to 850 Market St on a call of pedestrians struck. Two dune buggies were doing manuvers throught the parade procession when a red dune buggie hit a smaller yellow buggie propelling it into a crowd of on-lookers. A total of 8 spectators were injured. Of the 8, 5 were transported to Erlanger Hospital. Two children, ages 3 and 7 were transported with non-life threatening injuries. Additionally, 3 adults, including the driver of the yellow dune buggie, were transported for treatment. The exact cause of the incident is under investigation by the Chattanooga Police Traffic Division. Charges are pending further investigation. Marlboro Cigarettes
